Book of Hours, Suffrages. Includes portion of Saint John the Baptist, Saint John the Evangelist, and portion of Saints Peter and Paul. 1 folio, 14 lines on both recto and verso. Recto and Verso show visible sewing holes, with the parchment attached by tape to matte. Gothic script used, with red ruling. Script begins under first line, with 14 total lines. Rubrication in Middle French, text in Latin. Illuminated E on verso to begin Oratio of Saint John the Evangelist. Decoration in a panel on the outer margin of each page; includes rinceau and acanthus on verso, panel on recto is illuminated and the panel is split into rectangles with large red and blue decoration, in addition to limited rinceau and large acanthus leaves.

Translation:
may go by the way of salvation, and by following the encouragements of the blessed John, forerunner of Christ, may reach him whom he with certainty foretold, our Lord Jesus Christ, your son who lives and reigns with you.

Of the Saint John the Evangelist
Antiphon: This is the blessed John who leaned on our Lord at the Last Supper, and on whom was revealed the secrets of heaven.
Versicle: This is the disciple who is bearing witness to these things,
Responsory: and we know that his testimony is true.
Oratio: Make thy church shine, we ask, O kindly Lord, so that illuminated by the teachings of blessed John thy apostle and evangelist it may reach thy eternal gifts. Through Christ Our lord
