Description
Marian Prayer from a Book of Hours for a woman. Gothic script from late 15th Century.
The prayer is uncommon and unable to be definitively identified.
The illustrations on the recto and verso are mirror images of each other, implying that the illustrator traced through the parchment.
The border illustrations include illumination, with red and blue triangle pattern and flowers in the illumination.
14 lines with rulings in red ink. Some writing bleeds into the illustrations on edges.
Some wear is seen at the top center of the leaf with a small piece missing.
