Gothic Manuscript

This leaf is a Gothic Script. It contains the conclusion of a prayer to Mary and the beginning of another. This leaf is most likely from the introductory prayers to the hours of the Virgin. There are 13 lines of text on the recto and 14 lines of text on the verso. Both the recto and verso have a detailed border margin decorated in orange, blue, gold, and white. Tiny little balls can be seen surrounding some of the flora.

The ruling marks are visible. The text is in what appears to be a faded black ink that has turned brown with age. The material of the leaf appears to be parchment.

The recto has a decorated capital S. It is blue with white, orange, and gold detailing.
