Text is from the Office of the Dead at Matins, first nocturne, first lesson (Job 7) and the beginning of the second lesson (Job 10). Gothic script of varying size with decorated initial on verso.

Decorative side border on recto includes geometric gold panels that suggest it was created in France. Verso is decorated in a more naturalistic style including acanthus vines, flowers with leaves, and a bird.
