These leaves from the Suffrages section of FOL 47 display French rubrics at the head of the Latin text for prayers to St. John the Evangelist ("de saint jehan evangeliste"), Saints Peter and Paul ("de saint pierre et saint pol"), and one's own guardian angel ("du bon ange," or "concerning the good angel").

Rubrication is also used to indicate other divisions in the text, such as the beginning of antiphons (see top left, line 9, and middle left, line 11).
